Please Note:

Items with inductive loads such as pumps, compressors and heating elements can use up to 8 times the running load as a start up current. This said, the usual start up power needed is only double. Diesel And Petrol Generators always recommends that you check start up loads of appliances that the generator will power with the manufacturer in order to size the generator properly. It is also worth speaking with one of our team as the newer inverter generators are capable of starting larger loads than non inverter models.

You should always try to start appliances on a soft start basis, (one at a time). The appliance that uses the biggest start up current should always be started first. Please ensure that the generator output is larger or at least equal to the equipment being used.

The power calculator is here for guidance purposes. We would always recommend speaking to one of our friendly team for help and advise before purchase.
